I’m Federico, a former journalist currently based in Tokyo. I write personal essays about anime, fiction, Japan and the experiences that shape who we become.

Stories have always influenced the way I see life. Fight Club pushed me toward boxing, The Wolf of Wall Street sparked my interest in finance, and Berserk made me want to become a writer. Through books, movies, manga, video games and music, I found parts of myself during difficult moments in my life. Without those stories — especially Berserk — I probably wouldn’t be where I am today.

Guts’ Party was created as a space to reflect on fiction, identity, nostalgia, personal growth and modern life through the lens of Japanese culture and storytelling.

物語は、昔から私の人生観に大きな影響を与えてきました。『ファイト・クラブ』はボクシングを始めるきっかけとなり、『ウルフ・オブ・ウォールストリート』は金融への興味を与えてくれました。そして『ベルセルク』は、作家になりたいと思わせてくれた作品です。

本、映画、マンガ、ゲーム、音楽を通して、人生の苦しい時期に自分自身の一部を見つけることができました。特に『ベルセルク』がなければ、今の自分はここにいなかったと思います。

Guts’ Party は、フィクション、アイデンティティ、ノスタルジア、自己成長、そして現代社会について、日本文化や物語を通して考えるために作った場所です。
